Michael Jordan and Lance Stephenson as part of the same team? Stranger things have happened in NBA circles and word is the Charlotte Hornets owner and NBA Hall of Famer could be interested in adding the volatile Indiana Pacers free agent swingman as part of his grand plan to add another top-tier player to play alongside star center Al Jefferson.

Lance Stephenson, Evan Turner fight in practice?

The 23-year-old Stephenson dazzled throughout much of the regular season and playoffs, particularly when he was able to keep his emotions in check. Before being fined for flopping and engaging in a trash-talking battle with LeBron James, Stephenson was thought to be in position to land a deal as large as $10 million per season.

More recently some NBA execs have seemed to back off a bit given Stephenson's hot temper, but apparently Jordan isn't one of them. The six-time NBA champ has gone on record in asserting that the Hornets are going to be major players in this summer's free agent class, which could also include LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade.

Lance Stephenson wants to return to Indiana?

After several seasons of struggling, the Hornets, largely led by a young core of Jefferson, Kemba Walker and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, surprised many this season by emerging as the Eastern Conference's No. 7 playoff seed.

Stephenson could also attract interest from the likes of Detroit, Denver and New Orleans. In his fourth season, Stephenson averaged 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Pacers this season and also led the NBA in triple doubles with six.
