Today is the day we have all been waiting for as California Chrome will attempt to gallop into history and take home the Triple Crown. Race time is 6:52 PM as the Belmont Stakes is the last race of the day and the one everyone has their eye. Will California Chrome join the all-time greats of horse racing or come up short and be lost to the pages?
Victor Espinoza will ride Chrome in the race in a position that 11 Belmont winners have come from, the last being Tabasco Cat in 1994. Wicked Strong is the 6-1 second choice for the race after finishing fourth in the Kentucky Derby and skipping out on the Preakness Stakes.
Tonalist at (8-1) and Ride On Curlinat (12-1) round out the top four horses in the race as they look to take the historic feat away from California Chrome.
