Two nations looking to return to form will do battle today in an international friendly between Germany and Armenia. The German World Cup tune-up scheduled for 2:45 p.m. ET will be held at the Coface Arena in Mainz and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on Univision Deportes.
After a poor showing against Cameroon, Germany will look to flex its proverbial muscle against a less-daunted Armenia. In order to do so, the national team will have to improve on the areas head coach Joachim Loew deemed unacceptable. Especially midfielder Mesut Ozil.
"On the one hand they [Cameroon] were a good opponent and a real test of our endurance," said Loew (via Gulf News). "But you could see that the freshness was missing from our game. Our passing game was not good and we made many, many mistakes," he added.
"Mesut Ozil did not have one of his best days. He needs two more weeks, then we'll see a strong Mesut at the World Cup."
