CM Punk walked out on the WWE back in January before the Royal Rumble, and it appears as though the company has taken a shot at him via Facebook.

Undertaker Unlikely To Compete At WrestleMania 31

Punk stormed out on the day after the Royal Rumble on the day of a Monday Night RAW telecast, and while the WWE has directly addressed it only a handful of times since his departure, the company had some fun at Punk's expense on his official WWE Facebook page.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that the WWE linked a "Superstars Who Threw In The Towel" playlist onto Punk's company Facebook page. The move was in reference to Punk "throwing in the towel" and walking out on the company before his contract was set to expire in July.

Sting's Contract Negotiations With WWE Still Moving Slowly

Punk left likely due to frustrations over how his character was being booked and due to being sick of the rigorous traveling and competing schedules the WWE makes its Superstars work.

Punk missed the Chicago RAW -- where Paul Heyman cut a promo in the first instance of WWE recognizing Punk's absence on March 3 -- and WrestleMania XXX on April 6, leading to the belief that he wasn't coming back.

Punk ended up getting engaged to WWE Diva A.J. Lee since departing the company, and she took some time off to be with him and moved to Chicago with him. Punk has appeared at various sporting events in Chicago and even settled a bet with the Los Angeles Kings after his Blackhawks lost to them in seven games in the Western Conference Finals.

Punk attended the Kings vs. Blackhawks Game 7 last Sunday night while the WWE was also in Illinois for Payback and after the Blackhawks lost, Punk donned a Kings jersey outside of the United Center as a result of losing a Twitter bet with the Kings' mascot.

Punk likely won't be returning to the WWE anytime soon, but the company took a subtle shot at him on Facebook.
