Lakers' Kobe a Game-Time Decision Sunday Due To Ankle, Flu

Kobe Bryant will be a game-time decision Sunday for the Lakers when they host the Sacramento Kings. Bryant is recovering from a severely sprained left ankle and also the flu.

"He's still a little bit under the weather, but he'll come and try to go before the game and then he'll decide whether he can go or not," Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni told ESPNLosAngeles.com after shootaround Sunday. Bryant did not participate in the shootaround.

"I think the determining factor is whether he feels like he can contribute and feels like, 'I'm good enough to play,'" D'Antoni said. "He's been in the league a long time, he knows his body and he'll have to make that determination."

Bryant was cleared to play in the Lakers win Friday against Indiana, however, was held scoreless in limited playing time. Jodie Meeks would start at shooting guard should Bryant not play.

The Lakers will tip-off with the Kings at 9:30 p.m. ET.
