The WWE announced on Main Event Tuesday night that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan will be in attendance for this Monday's WWE RAW to confront Stephanie McMahon after the latest turn in their storyline, though it is unclear and doubtful ifBryan will be good to wrestle by June 29's Money in the Bank.

Update On Batista's Return

McMahon had said on RAW that Bryan had to defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Kane in a stretcher match, otherwise his title would be forfeited and put up for grabs in the Money in the Bank ladder match at the show in place of the usual contract in a briefcase suspended above the ring.

Bryan was slated to face Kane in a Buried Alive match at last Sunday's Payback event, but after he had to undergo surgery in mid-May to repair a neck injury he absorbed over the years due to his in-ring style, the plans were changed.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Bryan may not be cleared to return to the ring by Money in the Bank, so there is a strong chance that the ladder match will be for the title. Bryan reportedly received a negative update over the weekend and the reported eight-week recovery may take longer, casting doubt over a return.

Bryan's timetable for a return has remained a mystery as the WWE Champion originallyhad the possiblity to be back later this month while his worst-case scenario for a return date was SummerSlam on Aug. 17. With Bryan's status uncertain, the WWE developed a long-term back-and-forth storyline between him and McMahon where McMahon wants him to forfeit the title and Bryan refuses.

Bryan first refused on the May 26 RAW, and McMahon presented him with an ultimatum to fork over the title at Payback or his wife Brie Bella would be fired. Bella then quit to keep the storyline going and McMahon made the new ultimatum on Monday night that if Bryan can't wrestle at Money in the Bank, he'd have to relinquish the title.

Bryan will appear on RAW this Monday, and it will become clearer whether or not he can compete on June 29 at Money in the Bank at the TD Garden in Boston, but right now it isn't looking good that the WWE Champion will be cleared to go.
