Tim Tebow still has football on the brain--NFL football to more precise.
Even as he's made the rounds this month promoting the new ESPN SEC Network he will serve as a premiere analyst for, Tebow was always certain to remind all of everything he's doing to get back to the the NFL and how that still remains his greatest goal.
"I'm training every day and feel like I'm the best that I've ever been," the 26-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner told TheTennessean.com. "I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I'm just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I'm excited about it, though."
Tebow last played in the NFL with the Jets 2012, though he completed just six passes for 39 yards that season. Of the two years he spent in Denver, his best season came in 2011 when he threw for 1,729 and 12 touchdowns. Tebow also ran for 660 yards and another six scores.
The former Florida's star deal with ESPN is rumored to have an out-clause that would allow him to walk shoulda NFL team come calling.
None of that, however, should suggest that Tebow is taking his ESPN responsibilities lightly. As part of SEC Nation, he will join fellow former NFL star Marcus Spears as part of the broadcast team.
"You have to start out with how the SEC is different," Tebow said of the buzz the network is getting prior to its August 14 launch. "It's different because of its passion, its tradition and the love for all of the teams; the good ones, the bad ones, it doesn't matter. There is still so much passion for every team, and that's different from every other conference. It's fun to be a part of that. I've been a part of it my entire life."
