Former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings is heading north to join the Minnesota Vikings after agreeing to terms with his former division rival, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 29-year-old wide out led Green Bay with six catches and a touchdown in the team's playoff loss to San Francisco.
Jennings had career lows in receptions (36), yards per catch (10.2) and total yards (366) in 2012. However, his season was shortened due to a torn muscle in his groin.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers loses his favorite target with Jennings heading to Minnesota. Before 2012, Jennings caught 67 or more passes in each of the previous four seasons and have gone over 1,000 yards receiving in every season but one.
Jennings ranks in the top 10 in Packers fanchise history in catches, yards receiving and touchdown catches. His career totals are 425 receptions, 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns.
The two-time pro bowler joins a receiving corps that has gone without a 1,000+ yard wideout since 2009, which was former Viking now-Seahawk Sidney Rice. Percy Harvin, who led the Vikings every year since, joined Rice when he was traded to Seattle on Monday.
