Oklahoma City Thunder guard Derek Fisher may have played the last game of his 17-year NBA career on Saturday when his team fell to the San Antonio Spurs, 112-107, in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals.

Fisher lingered on the court after the game. Afterwards, he told Yahoo! Sports: "Just understanding the moment, just understanding that it's possible that it could be the last time I walk off the court as a player."

Fisher has been linked to coaching vacancies around the NBA, most notably those of the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers. However, the guard acknowledged that he has not talked with anyone from the two organizations.

Both the Lakers and Knicks are busy interviewing potential candidates, with the latter spurned by broadcaster Steve Kerr who decided to go with the Golden State Warriors coaching offer.

Still, Fisher has not made up his mind on what he'll do after this season. He told Yahoo!: "Obviously, there are a number of people that are going to be impacted by the decision I do make whether I continue to play or [if] I decide to do something else within the game. Whatever it is, there is a lot at stake. I'm not going to rush. I'm not going to be emotional.

While he was never an All-Star, Fisher was known as a winner. He has five championships, all with the LA Lakers, and played an NBA record 255 playoff games.

"It's possible that this does symbolize the end of a truly long career," Fisher said. "I don't think based on the emotions that I'm feeling right now that it's smart to start betting on what I will do next.
