Two clubs in the Western Conference of MLS will do battle today in a league match between the Seattle Sounders and Real Salt Lake. The first-division clash scheduled for 4 p.m. ET will be held at CenturyLink Field in Seattle and can be live streamed here.
Real Salt Lake enter today's match riding a season-opening undefeated streak that has reached 12 games, equaling the all-time MLS record (Los Angeles Galaxy, Kansas City Wizards). A positive result of any kind will allow the club to make history. Just don't expect them to care.
"I honestly don't really care [about the unbeaten streak]. Like I said, I'm happy with the zero, but I wish we would have won the game [against FC Dallas last week]," defender Chris Wingert said (via MLS's official website). "But again I think it's just too early to really even matter," he added.
"I just am concerned with earning points. Usually, when we don't earn three [points] at home we're a bit disappointed."
