LeBron James insists he now has far more important things on his mind, but his Miami Heat teammates seemingly can breathe a sigh of relief that win or lose this postseason, the four-time league MVP appears primed for a South Beach encore.

According to BleacherReport.com, an agitated James deflected questions from reporters this week seeking to know his inner-most thoughts about his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers securing the top pick in next month's NBA draft for the third time in four years.

LeBron James free-agency rumors

The 10-time All-Star vowed in the preseason not to allow his contract status to become a distraction for the squad seeking to become the first NBA team in nearly two decades to register a three-peat. So far he's largely been a man of his word.

"It's easier that I'm in Miami, and he's in New York," James BleacherReport.com told earlier this season when faced with the question of why the same issue became such a daily topic of conversation for the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony. "New York media are a little bit different than Miami [media]. You guys don't take no for answer. So...I don't have to deal with that."

LeBron James wants longer All-Star break

In short, James is comfortable in South Beach, where he's become an on-court extension of coach Erik Spoelstra and one half of a devastating tandem with Dwyane Wade.

All told, James' scoring and assists are up in two of his last three seasons and the 29-year-old, still-in-his-prime star shows little signs of slowing down anytime soon.
