Stephanie McMahon revealed on Monday Night RAW this week from London that she isn't technically stripping Daniel Bryan of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but she wants him to forfeit the title personally on next week's RAW in a storyline that may take a couple of weeks to play out.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Bryan is not being advertised for RAW from Knoxville, Tenn. but things could change. Bryan underwent neck surgery last Thursday to repair a minor broken neck he suffered due to years of wear and tear he's put on his body due to the way he performs in the ring, and he is expected to be out at least 2-3 months.
With the WWE not having a champion for at least 2-3 months and possibly longer due to Bryan's injury, they drummed up the McMahon forfeit storyline to keep Bryan relevant on the show. According to the report, the company plans on dragging out the storyline over Bryan forfeiting the title for a few weeks, so he may not actually show up at RAW this Monday.

It is unlikely that the WWE will have a world title match at Payback on June 1 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago due to the fact that Bryan is injured and they plan on carrying out his storyline with The Authority over the next few weeks. Bryan was originally slated to face Kane in a Buried Alive match at the show, but the injury caused the company to change its plans.
In other news, CM Punk, who has been away from the WWE since walking out on them in January likely due to frustration with his character's direction and burn out from traveling, continues to pop up places. Punk has appeared in several places and Chicago sporting events since leaving the WWE, but this time he emerged at a wedding with several other WWE Superstars and other wrestlers.
Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Punk, AJ Lee, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Konnor, Mike Knox, Bully Ray, Angelina Love, Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Matt Hardy, Reby Sky, Velvet Sky, Colt Cabana and others attended the wedding between Luke Gallows and women's wrestler Amber O'Neal last Tuesday.

While Punk continues to pop up and is out of the WWE by choice, Bryan remains on the sidelines due to injury and the storyline over him being stripped of his title is expected to stretch over the next couple of weeks.
