Notre Dame and Michigan is a rivalry as old and great as any in college sports, but with only one more scheduled meeting between the two, is this the beginning of the end? Fighting Irish coach Brian Kelly wants the rivalry to continue for many years to come.

Brian Kelly spoke about the rivalry at a golfing event and wanted to include not only Michigan but Michigan State as well.

"We would like to play Michigan and Michigan State again,”

"When [athletic director Jack Swarbrick] and I sit down and we start discussing 'what do you want to do?' we don't start or end that without having Michigan or Michigan State part of that conversation, and there's an SEC school involved in that conversation, as well,"

”I can assure you that Michigan, Michigan State and an SEC school is involved in those conversations. How that pans out, I'm telling you, it's a very complicated deal.”

The Irish seem anxious and very interested in having the matchup continue, but Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon didn't sound as optimistic.

"We have had no conversations with Notre Dame regarding scheduling since I was handed the letter on the sidelines, which formally ended the regular season games effective 2015 and beyond,”

The college football landscape is changing before our eyes and if Notre dame doesn't play both Michigan and Michigan State then we all lose.
