Manny Ramirez is officially headed to Taiwan and will arrive Monday to sign with the EDA Rhinos, according to CBSSports.com. Ramirez's agent, Barry Praver confirmed the player had an agreement in place to join the China Professional Baseball League team.

Ramirez said last month that if he weren't signed to a Major League club by Thursday he would play for the Rhinos, who being their regular season next Sunday. Ramirez didn't provide financial details of his agreement, but a good foreign player typically earns about $12,000 per month in Taiwan.

Ramirez played winter ball in the Dominican Republic for the first time in years. The 12-time All-star hit .298 with eight home runs, 27 RBIs and 21 runs in 181 at-bats with Aguilas Cibaenas.

In 19 MLB seasons, the 40-year-old hit for a career .312 average with 555 homers and 1,831 RBIs before retiring from baseball in April 2011 after violating MLB's drug policy for a second time.
