WWE Payback 2014 airs just over two weeks away on June 1 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, and the company has continued to round out the card. Though only two matches have officially been announced, there is reportedly a planned tag match between Erick Rowan and Luke Harper against The Usos in the works.

Daniel Bryan Undergoing Neck Surgery Thursday, Status Up In The Air For Return

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, as of a week ago a Tag Team Championship match pitting Rowan and Harper against the champion Usos was the working plan for the show, and it is likely to be announced within the coming weeks as an official match.

The card for the June event remains much of a mystery now that it has been revealed that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan required surgery to repair a minor broken neck. The original plans called for Bryan to take on Kane in a Buried Alive match at Payback for the title, but that is obviously not going to take place due to Bryan's injury.

The WWE is due to settle the WWE World Heavyweight Championship issue on Monday Night RAW next week as the company will either decide to keep the belt on Bryan and have an absent champion or come up with a way to crown a new champion. It remains to be see

It is possible the WWE keeps the belt on Bryan, but with his likely timetable for a return to action being around SummerSlam on Aug. 17, he would miss Payback, Money in the Bank and Battleground, and the company may want to have a new champion for those events rather than have Bryan keep the belts.

The two matches that have been announced for Payback are an Extreme Rules six-man tag rematch pitting The Shield against Evolution and a Last Man Standing match between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. there are rumors that the six-man match may be elimination rules.

Other rumored matches include Adam Rose making his in-ring debut against Jack Swagger and Cesaro taking on Rob Van Dam, but it remains to be seen if those are made official.

WWE presents Payback in just over two weeks, and it appears Harper and Rowan will take on The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championships on the show.
