A trp to the Eastern Conference Finals and a meeting with the New York Rangers is on the line as Montreal looks to grind out a road win in Game 7 while Boston hopes that home ice advantage will be enough to propel it to the Eastern Conference Finals for a second straight season.

The Canadiens won Games 1, 3 and 6 while the Bruins evened up the series in Games 2 and 4 and then took a 3-2 series lead in Game 5 but weren't able to put it away in Game 6 in Montreal, where they lost 4-0. This will be the ninth Game 7 between these teams all time and the sixth in the last nine series between these two teams. Montreal has won the last eight Game 7s against Boston.

The Canadiens may be the visiting team, but they aren't lacking in confidence.

"It's going to be great," defenseman P.K. Subban said of Game 7 via NHL.com. "I can't wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building. I can't wait to take that all away from them."

Subban is the Habs leading scorer in this postseason having notched 12 points off of four goals and eight assists while Lars Eller ranks second with nine points off of four tallies and five helpers and Thomas Vanek ranks first on the team in markers (five) and third in points (eight) while adding three assists. Vanek scored twice in Game 6 and has four goals in the series.

The Bruins won the Presidents' Trophy at the conclusion of the regular season, but now they face a second-round exit. The team will play off its past success to try and win Game 7.

"You go back and look at what we were doing right and what helped our team to victories, obviously," defenseman Torey Krug told NHL.com "But at the same time, I think it all comes down to preparation [Wednesday] and making sure we're ready to go, because that first 20 minutes is going to be a crucial part of the game. So you've just got to be ready for it."

Krug (two goals, seven assists) is tied with Patrice Bergeron (three goals, six assists) for the team playoff lead with nine points in the postseason while Milan Lucic (four goals, three assists) and Dougie Hamilton (two markers, five helpers) each have seven points to rank second. Reilly Smith (4-1--5) has three goals in this series.

In net, Boston turns to Tuukka Rask, who is 7-4 in these playoffs and leads the entire NHL this postseason in goals-against average (1.90) and save percentage (.933) while tying for the team lead with two shutouts. Montreal counters with Carey Price, who is 7-3 while ranking fifth in GAA (2.25) and fourth in save percentage (.922).

A trip to the Eastern Conference Finals is on the line when the Canadiens and Bruins take the ice at the TD Garden for Round 2, Game 7 as part of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
