Rehab is bonding Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn is ways the now more than year-long couple never imagined.

The world's most famous golfer is recovering from back surgery and the Olympic gold-medal skiing champion from right knee surgery that robbed her of a chance to defend her title at the recently concluded Sochi Games. And they're doing it all by leaning on one another for support.

Tiger Woods aiming to return for British Open?

"Rehab is not a fun thing to do - it's very monotonous and tedious and a lot of the same exercises over and over and over," Vonn told CBSSports.com. "But if you're going through rehab, it's nice to have a partner to do this with ... someone who relates to your situation and that you can talk to, rehab and train together."

Vonn and Woods began publicly dating in February 2013 and since then the 29-year four-time World Cup champion has raved about how much Woods has helped her in learning to deal with the struggles of being a world famous athlete. Handling the whole rehab drama has simply added another layer.

"We have to keep our competitiveness at bay because it's not about that," added Vonn. "It's about doing it right and taking the time it needs to really heal properly.

Woods, a 14-time majors winner, has hinted he's hoping to return to action sometime around the British Open.
