The Utah Jazz find themselves between a rock and a hard place when it comes to finding a new coach for the 2014-2015 season. The Jazz have not been a part of the ongoing coaching carousel and many believe it is the least desirable vacant head coaching slot. This has forced the Jazz to call upon a familiar face concerning the coaching position.

The Jazz will reportedly reach out to legend John Stockton and gauge his interest in coaching the team. The Jazz are rumored to be interested in interviewing up to 20 candidates for the job, but Stockton is a name that carries a ton of weight in Utah.

Stockton has made it known that he would rather stay out of the spotlight, thus making this choice by the Jazz a curious one, but one the team thinks is in the team's best interest. The Jazz have not reached out to any potential candidates yet, but it is believed Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey will start the search at the NBA pre-draft camps in Chicago in the near future.

The Jazz opening has been on the ones that has been relatively quite, but rumored candidates include Chicago Bulls assistant Adrian Griffin, NBA assistant Quin Snyder, Jazz assistant Brad Jones and European coach Ettore Messina.

Stockton may have no experience from the bench, but for a team like the Jazz looking for a shot in the arm that can give the team some life, Stockton might be the coach they need.
