Here is all of the latest TNA news and rumors surrounding the expiring contract with Spike TV and what it means for the future of Impact Wrestling, more roster cuts, Bobby Roode suspended by MVP and much more.
It was previously reported that former TNA X Division and World Heavyweight Champion Chris Sabin was outright cut by the company. However, unlike other recent cuts like Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian, Sabin was allegedly offered a new contract by TNA. However, Sabin apparently turned the deal down since it was for less money than he was making before his contract was up.
Meanwhile, TNA's future with Spike TV remains uncertain as their TV contract for Impact Wrestling expires in October. TNA signed a marketing deal with United Talent Agency and UTA is representing TNA in contract negotiations with Spike. At the same time, the marketing agency will be shopping Impact Wrestling TV broadcasts to other networks instead of just dealing with Spike, according to reports.
In other TNA roster news, former Tag Team Champion Hernandez was moved from the active list to the alumni list over at ImpactWrestling.com, confirming his departure from the company (credit: TNAInsider.com).
Also, in order to explain why Bobby Roode was left off of the recent TV tapings leading to Slammiversary, MVP has "suspended" Roode from Impact following their pull-apart brawl on Impact last week.
In a storyline-driven comment, MVP said, "And @REALBobbyRoode is indefinitely suspended from @IMPACTWRESTLING for his unacceptable conduct! Take the time to think about your actions." (Credit: Lords of Pain)
