A man accused of being a part of a intrastate gun running scheme allegedly tied to already jailed former NFL veteran Aaron Hernandez appeared in court on Tuesday, where a judge ordered his case continued until next month.

Oscar Hernandez, who authorities say is not related to the former New England Patriots tight end, was taken into custody last month on charges he purchased a vehicle in Florida that was allegedly later used to ship guns to Hernandez at his home in North Attleborough.

According to WCVB.com, when the car was impounded last month investigators found three guns in the vehicle, at least some of them suspected to tied to the June 2013 Odin Lloyd execution style murder Hernandez remains held without bail in connection with at the Bristol County House of Corrections

Oscar Hernandez is also accused of lying to a grand jury convened to hear evidence in the gun trafficking case. Investigators have also speculated Aaron Hernandez may have killed Lloyd based on his knowledge of other violent crimes he is alleged to have been involved in.

Aaron Hernandez is also being investigated over his alleged involvement in a 2012 drive-by, double slaying in downtown Boston that remains unsolved. Several media outlets have previously reported police later recovered the vehicle believed to have been used in the crime parked in a garage of a relative of Aaron Hernandez.
