Floyd Mayweather Jr. bested Marcos "El Chino" Maidana on May 3, and by comfortable margins on two of three judges' scorecards. One judge saw a draw, however, and most fans saw "Money" in a harsher test than he's experiences in years. While fans clamor for a rematch, Mayweather's father seems to be advising his son to pass on a potential second matchup.

Keith Thurman could get shot at "Money" soon?

"It was a superb fighter against an MMA fighter. He (Maidana) hit him on the balls. He hit him on the hip. He hit him with his head, butted his eyes. Beat him in the back of the head," Mayweather Sr. said.

"Maidana don't deserve nothin'. With all that stuff that Maidana did ... if I was Floyd, I wouldn't fight him again." Maidana's success in the fight, despite the loss, was due largely to his rough tactics in the ring. During the fight his trainer Robert Garcia could be heard urging the Argentine to "fight dirty" if he had to, and the strategy paid off.

Will Amir Khan finally get his chance to fight Floyd Mayweather?

Floyd's masterful defense was still evident, as he was able to avoid many of the kinds of shots that felled his younger protégé Adrien Broner, but overall it wasn't the flawless Floyd fans have seen for years. After the match, when asked about a rematch an angered Maidana said that he should be giving Mayweather the chance, since he really won the fight.

"Mayweather is a baby girl, always trying to find excuses," Maidana said. "Every time I hit him he did not know what to do."

Much like the situation stood prior to tapping Maidana as his May 3 foe, it's unclear where Mayweather turns after yet another victory. A Maidana rematch seems likely, since the only other options include Amir Khan, who won convincingly on the May 3 undercard, or unproven up-and-comers like Shawn Porter and Keith Thurman.
