Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET the Brooklyn Nets will be hoping their home fans can will them to a win tonight at the Barclays Center and avoid a 3-0 hole against the two-time defending champion Miami Heat. Watch Game 3 on ABC or live stream it free by clicking this link. Nets fans can listen to the radio broadcast on WCBS 880 AM, while Heat fans may do the same on 790 The Ticket.
Miami hasn't lost a game in these playoffs yet, but shooting guard Dwyane Wade isn't patting himself on the back just yet. "We did what we were supposed to do, protecting home court," Wade said. "Now it gets interesting. Now we're trying to get one in their building. This is when the playoffs get fun."
The Nets have fallen apart in each of the first two games after initial competitiveness, and in Game 2 a big reason was the doughnut in the score column from point guard Deron Williams.
The Nets are refusing to entertain negativity though. "We look for him to bounce back in Game 3," Nets coach Jason Kidd said of his star point guard. Power forward Kevin Garnett didn't even address D-Will specifically. "We have a lot of confidence in ourselves," Garnett said. "We just have to go home and defend our home court."
Williams noted the urgency of tonight's game, telling media "We need a win. It's a must-win. We can't afford to go down 3-0. We need to get these at home starting with the one on Saturday."
They'll need to figure out something to do with LeBron James, who is putting up 27.3 points per game, 6.8 rebounds and five assists, tops on the Heat in each category. They also need to keep an eye on Chris Bosh, who is quietly sinking over 50 percent of his 3-pointers on 3.5 attempts per game.
