Now a TNT analyst who has never coached on any level, Kerr is expected to make his decision known over the next several days. George Karl has been an NBA coach for than two decades, recording more than 1,000 victories. Still, he sees a uniqueness in the 48-year Kerr.

"Steve Kerr, I think, is a very good basketball guy," Karl told BleacherReport. "Very good. Very talented brain. Very good instincts. A championship pedigree. I think Steve knows enough about an 82-game season that he understands it."
