Washington Nationals manager Matt Williams had a drive to Nationals Park on Wednesday that was very much out of the ordinary. The Nats skipper's car was hit by another vehicle that was involved in a police chase all while he was on the radio conducting an interview over the phone.

According to ESPN, Williams' car was rear-ended and other vehicles were struck by a man driving a car who was evading police while Williams was in the midst of an interview with 106.7 The Fan in Washington, D.C.
"He just ran right in the back of me," Williams told the radio show. "I just got rear-ended by a guy in a car. Hold on, this guy's crashing into people."

Williams stayed on the line with the radio program and calmly described the scene as it unfolded while he added that he wasn't hurt.
"I'm good," the skipper told the program. "There was a police car behind me, and a guy in a car, and he tried to get by me, and he just smoked me. The guy behind me was trying to get out of his car, but they had him wedged in. And then he got around me and hit another car going by him."
Williams' car was damaged during the incident.
"My rear end is gone now," he told the hosts.
After the incident, Williams wasn't concerned about missing Washington's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, which his team ultimately lost 8-3.
"They don't care about me," he joked on the show. "That's the strangest thing I've ever been a part of right there."
In his first season as skipper, he has led the Nationals to an 18-15 record as the team currently sits in second place in the National League East.
