WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross posted new comments in his latest blog entry on all of the results and fallout from WWE Extreme Rules as well as an update on part 1 of his Ross Report podcast interview with Shawn Michaels that premieres today. What did JR have to say about John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt, Daniel Bryan vs. Kane, and The Shield vs. Evolution?

Jim Ross Podcast Update on Shawn Michaels Interview:

"The upcoming Shawn Michaels podcast which drops Tuesday at approximately 6:00 p.m. pacific time will have many in the wrestling world talking and I'm not over exaggerating or just to get you to partake in the FREE download of the Ross Report on podcastone.com and via iTunes. It's a fascinating discussion with one of the best ever on a variety of topics including the abrupt ending of The Streak at WM30 where HBK had the most inside seat in the house."

CB's Analysis: I can't wait to hear what Shawn Michaels has to say in this two-part interview on the Jim Ross podcast, especially since HBK trusts JR and will definitely open up to him in the interview. Also, I can't wait to hear what Michaels says about THE STREAK ending as he watched backstage.

Jim Ross on The Shield vs. Evolution at Extreme Rules:

"The six-man tag stole the show. Helluva bout and a true, announcer's dream to call. Congrats to all six men for pulling off a great match."

Jim Ross on John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt in a Steel Cage Match:

"Thought the cage match was a little too long. Also, didn't like all the outside interference inside the cage. WWE worked very hard to protect Cena's image when it's strong enough to sustain a loss to a new star (Bray Wyatt). Admire how hard the talents worked but the finish was a head scratcher although I'm curious as to where this is going because as of right now I have no idea."

Ross then added, "For the record and merely a personal preference, escaping the cage through the door is a lame stipulation in today's world."

Jim Ross on Daniel Bryan vs. Kane:

"A NO Holds Barred scenario isn't playing to Daniel Bryan's strengths but DB defeating a much bigger, stronger adversary in Kane is what most people will remember. Thought the special effects with the forklift was a little time consuming and detached the live audience a bit too long but the flaming table was a colorful blast from the past."

Jim Ross Calls TNA Impact Zone 'Embarrassingly Quiet'

CB's Analysis: I think Ross hit the nail on the head on all three of the main event matches and how they unfolded at Extreme Rules. The Shield vs. Evolution turned out to be the real showstopper for me, with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose shining outside the ring while Roman Reigns scored the big pin over Batista. The Rollins spot was especially memorable when he jumped from the top of the crowd onto Triple H and Randy Orton.

I am also glad this feud isn't over just yet:

Meanwhile, the John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt match lacked a little too much "suspension of disbelief" and the whole thing came off a little too hokey for my taste. JR is also right when he says there is no reason Cena needed to be protected that much from a loss to Bray Wyatt.

The one part I do disagree with JR on is the backstage elements to the Daniel Bryan-Kane much. I loved that this brought out a different side of Daniel Bryan, and the forklift part of the match was great to watch. Maybe if I was part of the live crowd I'd feel differently, but they were rewarded with the amazing flaming table spot and a Bryan win, so I am sure they were sent home happy.
