The Miami Heat survived a surprising threat from the Orlando Magic to extend their winning streak to 16-games with a 97-96 win on Wednesday. Miami blew a 20-point advantage on their Florida rivals, but were bailed out by another strong performance from LeBron James.

James scored a game-high 26 points in the win over Orlando, with the most important two coming off a clutch layup with 3.2 seconds remaining. The basket gave Miami the go-ahead lead and kept the Heat's impressive winning streak alive.

Dwyane Wade also had a standout performance for the defending NBA Champions. Wade scored 24 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out three assists, took away four steals, and recorded a block on Wednesday.

Orlando saw an impressive performance from center Nikola Vucevic. Vucevic had a team-high 25 points and a game-high 21 rebounds. However, Vucevic was one of three Magic players to foul out in the final minutes of their game, giving Miami the perfect opportunity to regain their once dominant lead.
