Tiger Woods and Olympic gold medal-winning girlfriend Lindsey Vonn appear to be bonding over rehab.

The world's top-ranked golfer admits he doesn't know when he might be able to get back on the links after recently undergoing back surgery, but adds being able to work alongside the also rehabbing Vonn makes putting in all the hard work needed to do so a bit easier.

Tiger back by British Open?

"It does help to rehab with Lindsey," Woods told USAToday.com. "But her programs are much further along than mine. That does help when you're not the only one suffering. It's a good and bad thing that we're both rehabbing at the same time. Her sessions are much longer and more developed. Her knee is getting stronger and it's good to see. She hopes to be ready to compete again in December."

The 29-year-old Vonn tore ligaments in her right knee during the world championships in 2013, forcing her to pull out of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and keeping the alpine ski champion sidelined ever since.

Tiger Woods injury a big drain on golf ratings

As for the 38-year-old Woods, the 14-time major winner told USAToday "my return to golf, I really don't know. I'm doing everything I can and listening to my doctors and working on a strength program, and then we just have to see how my back is. Some people heal up in three months, some people take four months, some people take longer. I just don't know."
