As if the wildly unpredictable Indiana Pacers needed additional other distractions heading into their deciding Game 7 against the Atlanta Hawks in the first-round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Only weeks after denying allegations he offered to pay her $1 million to have an abortion, a Miami stripper has given birth to All-Star forward Paul George's first child. BlackSportsOnline reports the 24-year-old George once spent months denying the newborn girl born on Friday was his, before ultimately releasing a statement maintaining "if and when there is a legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities."
Several media outlets have also reported George was dating Callie Rivers, the daughter of L.A. Clippers coach Doc Rivers at the time he cheated with the woman and the child he now admits is his was conceived in 2013.
The Pacers will need George to be fully engaged and on his game when they host the Hawks on Saturday. A lost by the top-seeded Pacers would easily represent one of the biggest upsets in NBA playoffs history.
It's been a struggle for the Pacers in recent weeks, who over their last 32 games, including the playoffs, are just 16-16. George averaged a career-high 21.7 points during the regular season, but even he struggled down the stretch as off-the-court issues seemed to zap his focus.
George was also at the center of an incident where it was rumored he was "catfished" by a gay man believed to be responsible for releasing a series of revealing photos of the Pacers' star over the internet.
