Houston Texans star running back Arian Foster facetiously posted on Friday "God wants the Texans to take Tim Tebow with the first pick" in next week's NFL Draft.

Ever since the Texans landed the top pick, speculation has bubbled over who the team might take should they decide to retain the top selection in the May 7 draft, with the bulk of the predictions suggesting their choice will come between Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel and South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.

Tim Tebow to play in CFL?

Apparently, Foster has had enough of all the speculation, and his Tebow post seemed to be an attempt to add a bit more levity to the situation.

The 26-year-old Tebow last played in the league in 2012 with the Jets, where he attempted just six passes and amassed only 39 passing yards. A three-year veteran, Tebow's best NFL season came in 2011 with Denver when he threw for 1,729 yards and 12 touchdowns. The former Heisman Trophy winner also rushed for 660 yards and six touchdowns that season.

Tim Tebow joins ESPN

With no NFL prospects seemingly on the horizon, Tebow recently signed on with ESPN to be the face of its new SEC Network. The deal is rumored to include a clause that would allow Tebow to leave if an NFL team should come calling for his services.

While at Florida, Tebow also won a Heisman Trophy and was a part of two Gators' national championship winning teams.
