Charles Barkley insists NBA players should refuse to play at all next season if disgraced Donald Sterling hasn't been removed as owner of the L.A. Clippers by then.

Appearing on Friday's episode of the Dan Patrick Show, the NBA Hall of Fame forward and current TNT hoops analyst guaranteed the host "no basketball is going to be played next year if Donald Sterling still owns the Clippers."

Donald Sterling's racist rant tape released

The 80-year-old Sterling, the league's longest tenured owner, came under heavy fire and ultimately was banned from the league and fined $2.5 million by rookie NBA Commissioner Adam Silver earlier this week after audio of him telling a girlfriend not to "bring black people to my games" was made public. Some of Sterling's rants were even directly aimed at NBA Hall of Famer Earvin "Magic" Johnson.

Several media outlets have since reported players entertained thoughts of boycotting the ongoing NBA playoffs if Silver did not move quickly and forcefully to discipline Sterling and with that now done the attention has turned to how soon the league will be able to totally rid itself of the man who has owned the Clips since 1981.
