Two of the most talked about items in professional wrestling over the last few months have been CM Punk walking out on the WWE in January and the rumors of Sting coming into WWE to wrestle one last match. WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre recently conducted an interview where he addressed both of those topics among other things.

Punk walked out the day after the Royal Rumble prior to a live Monday Night RAW telecast and has scarcely been seen since aside from an appearance on AMC's Talking Dead program and at a few Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Playoff games all while being mum on the topic of why he left WWE and whether or not he'd return.

Punk's contract was set to expire in July but he left the company in January over what many believe to be frustration with his use in the company and being burned out as well as his reported use in WrestleMania where he was rumored to be taking on Triple H.

After Punk no-showed the Chicago RAW in his hometown in March and missed WrestleMania in April, it seemed as though "The Best in the World" was done with WWE, though McIntyre said in an interview he wasn't sure what the deal was with Punk as most WWE Superstars have said since he left.

"Personally I don't know. I don't know what's going on, I don't know what's going to happen," McIntyre told DigitalSpy while promoting the WWE's upcoming tour in the United Kingdom. "You can never tell what's going to happen in sports entertainment, that's what the boss always says."

Punk was also edited off of August's SummerSlam artwork which can be viewed here.

Sting has been a big rumor in the WWE as well as he is expected to make an appearance on WWE television to lead into WrestleMania 31 and a possible final match and Hall of Fame induction is reportedly in store.

Sting was rumored to be facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, but the WWE went in the direction of 'Taker vs. Brock Lesnar. Now that Lesnar ended The Streak and The Undertaker may be retiring, it remains to be seen who Sting would face if he indeed does have one more match at WrestleMania 31 next March in Santa Clara, Calif.

McIntyre warned that it could all be a rumor, though Sting's appearance on the WWE Network for the Ultimate Warrior's tribute show lends itself to the belief that Sting is with the company.

"He's somebody who's never been in the company, if that was to happen it would obviously be a very big thing, but as I always say - don't believe everything you read on the internet until it actually happens," he told DigitalSpy.

McIntyre also discussed such things as the WWE having a pay-per-view in the U.K. again, things in NXT, his status with 3MB and his evolution in wrestling. The full interview can be read here.
