It has been widely reported that Bill Goldberg was interested in having one more match for the WWE so that his wife and son can see him wrestle, and it appears that WrestleMania 31 next March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. could be the place where Goldberg makes a one-night, one-match return to wrestling.

It was rumored that the WWE had interest in bringing Goldberg in for the WrestleMania XXX event that aired last month for a reported match with Ryback but nothing ever came to fruition. After initially denying meeting with WWE COO Triple H, Goldberg has since admitted they met but the meetings didn't get very far.

It was reported that Goldberg didn't like WWE's offer or negotiating strategies while Goldberg later said that he and Triple H's discussions were just tame and that they never truly discussed in great detail a Goldberg return for WrestleMania XXX.

With that historic show over with, Goldberg now reportedly has a great amount of interest in doing one more match at WrestleMania 31 if the deal is right. Goldberg, who will be 48 by the time the next WrestleMania comes around, has kept himself in great shape and reportedly trains vigorously every day so it wouldn't be a matter of health that would stop the former WWE and WCW wrestler from returning.

Goldberg is hopeful to work out the right deal with the WWE for him to return at a WrestleMania that is also expected to feature former WCW and TNA icon Steve "Sting" Borden. It is unknown who a potential opponent would be, but with Goldberg training almost daily and the match being another year away, more rumors are bound to be released.

Former WWE announcer and Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently recorded an interview with Goldberg on his podcast The Ross Report that's supposed to air in two weeks and Ross tweeted a teaser saying he and Goldberg discussed an in-ring return at WrestleMania 31 for the man who once went 173-0 in WCW.

"On the upcoming @Goldberg appearance on Ross Report Bill wants his son to see him wrestle. We talk WM31 potential. Podcast Airs in 2 weeks," Ross tweeted.

It remains to be seen if Goldberg does in fact return at the show of shows for the first time since 2004, however the interest is there so it is highly likely.
