Tito Ortiz has been sentenced to 36 months probation after pleading no contest on Wednesday in a drunken driving case where he crashed his 2012 Porsche Panamera last January on a California freeway.

The former MMA champ was also ordered to enroll in an alcohol treatment program and was slapped with numerous undisclosed fines he must promptly pay off as part of his plea deal.

According to TMZ Sports, Ortiz blew a .12 on his breathalyzer test back then, well above the state legal limit of .08, after freeway police arrived on the scene to find his vehicle wrapped around a concrete median along the 405 Freeway.

Officers immediately took Ortiz into custody at the scene and he spent several hours in custody before being released on $15,000 cash bond. The website adds the 38-year-old Ortiz was reportedly returning home from a BCS Football party held at the nearby Playboy Mansion at the time of the crash.

Ortiz has fought for Bellator MMA and occasionally makes appearances on TNA Wrestling. He is best known for for having held the UFC lightweight title for more than three years beginning in April of 2000.

Outside the ring, Ortiz is the CEO of the Punishment Athletics MMA equipment and clothing line and owns a MMA training facility in his California hometown. In July of 2012, Ortiz became just the ninth inductee to the UFC Hall of Fame.
