Heisman Trophy winning quarterback and Florida State star Jameis Winston has been cited for allegedly stealing crab legs from a local store.

TomahawkNation.com reports the 19-year-old Winston, who also led the Seminoles to an undefeated season and national championship, was cited on Tuesday following the incident at a Publix chain store.

Jameis Winston facing civil suit in rape case

"He got an adult civil citation," a source told TomahawkNation. "If he completes the sanctions it will never show up on his record. They commonly give them to juveniles on first criminal offenses. They are now doing it for minor misdemeanors for adults to lower crime rate."

The incident comes just months after the 19-year-old Winston was investigated and ultimately not criminally charged in the rape of a fellow FSU student. Attorneys for Winston later admitted he had sexual contact with the woman, but maintain it was all consenual. The family of the woman has now hinted they plan to file a civil suit against both Winston and the university.

More recently, employees at a local Burger King accused Winston of stealing soda in small-sized ketchup cup.

As a redshirt sophomore, Winston passed for 4,057 yards and 40 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions. In the Seminoles 34-31 National Championship game win over Auburn, he passed for 237 yards and two touchdowns, including a 2-yard, game-winning pass to Kelvin Benjamin with just 13 seconds remaining.

Winston was also named Davey O'Brien and Walter Camp 2013 award winner.
