The main source of Tiger Woods' health neglected to reveal anything about his own.

The Golf Channel reported Tuesday that Notah Begay III, a college teammate of Woods' at Stanford and one of his best friends, suffered a heart attack last week in Dallas.

The 41-year-old Begay was taken to Methodist Hospital where cardiologist Dr. Mark Jenkins inserted a stent to unblock his right coronary artery, according to the Golf Channel. He was able to have the procedure done quickly, and because of it, is expected to make a full recovery.

The New Mexican plans to resume his duties as a golf analyst for NBC and the Golf Channel within a few weeks.

Notah Begay says Tiger Woods has felt back pain since 2013

Begay has kept the public abreast of Tiger Woods' back condition since he underwent surgery to correct a pinched nerve until Woods himself finally revealed over the weekend that he was eyeing a return to competitive golf before the British Open.

"I anticipate a full recovery and feel lucky to be at home resting with my family," Begay said in a statement. "I appreciate the outpouring of well wishes I've received from family, friends and fans, and I will be back covering golf once I'm fully recovered."

According to a report by The Associated Press, Begay was part of the Stanford team that included Woods when the Cardinal won the NCAA title in 1994. A three-time All-American, Begay graduated the following year with an economics degree.

He won four PGA Tour titles - all between 1999-2000 - during a professional golf career that was cut short by his own back injuries. He is in his second year as a television analyst.

In 2005, Begay established the Notah Begay III Foundation to help prevent type 2 diabetes in Native American children through health and wellness programs, the Golf Channel reported.
