Here at Sports World News we will count down each NFL team's 2014 draft needs and perfect fits. At the end of every team we will make a pick on who the team could take at their position.

2013 Review: The Lions started off 5-3 and on the verge of surprising the entire NFC, but then the wheels came off. Somehow the Lions managed to finish 6-10 even though the Bears and Packers lost their starting quarterbacks for a part of the season. The collapse was unprecedented and left the Lions looking for answers that didn't involve former coach Jim Schwartz. New head coach Jim Caldwell has his work cut out for him, but the Lions have a solid nucleus of talent to make a quick turnaround.

Needs:
Wide Receiver:
When Calvin Johnson isn't available or lost to injury, the Lions offense completely falls off the map. Finding a solid second receiver is high priority for the Lions even with the addition of Golden Tate. In such a deep draft for receivers the Lions don't have to take one at No. 10

Defensive End: The Lions lost Willie Young to the Bears and even if they did retain him they could have used the depth. Ezekiel Ansah had a serviceable rookie season and should progress in his second year, but after him the Lions are pretty thin. A middle round pick should fill the need here.

Cornerback: The Lions are in a constant state of need when it come to cornerback and if they should be able to address the need this season. At No. 10 the Lions will have their choice of any corner in the draft and that includes the drafts top corner Justin Gilbert.

Targets: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson

Best First Round Fit: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
Watkins has the potential to give the Lions the best pass attack in the league and will one day be the heir to Johnson’s throne. The Lions are rumored to want Watkins over Evans and would be willing to trade up to secure him. Watkins would be a big move for the Lions, but it could come at too large a price for a team that needs to add plenty of defensive depth.
