Its a busy day in the NFC East as many scouts and executives think the Dallas Cowboys will ‘figure out a way’ to land Johnny Manziel in May 8th’s draft. MMQB’s Peter King even went on record to say he “absolutely” believes the Cowboys have serious interest in Johnny Football.

CBS’s Jim Nantz believes that the Cowboys are serious contenders for Manziels’ services and that he is the player all of Dallas’ front office wants to see.

“I can say this, he’s going to be the guy everyone wants to see. I’ve heard this rumor for a month — the Cowboys will figure out a way to get Manziel. Wherever Manziel goes, there is going to be more clamoring about Johnny Manziel than there would be about Blake Bortles going No. 1 or [Jadeveon] Clowney going No. 1, or anyone else. This is a guy that there’s just a tremendous interest in everything he does.”

If nothing else for the Cowboys, drafting Manziel would certainly keep them in the news for the foreseeable future and that is right up owner/general manager Jerry Jones’ alley. The wait is almost over and if the Cowboys do manage to land Manziel, I can't wait to hear what Tony Romo has to say about it. The rumor mill will continue to turn, but come next Thursday we will finally see where Johnny Manziel ends ups.
