Michael Vick has officially ended one battle with Geno Smith so he can concentrate on the one that stands to mean the most for him and the New York Jets.

According to TMZ Sports, the 33-year-old Vick has elected to wear No. 8 next season and will no longer attempt to coax Smith into allowing him to wear both their favorite jersey No. 7. Vick has worn the number throughout his 11-year career, while Smith donned it as a rookie starter with the Jets last season.
