No. 19 Memphis clinched their eighth Conference USA title with a 76-67 victory over Central Florida on Saturday. The victory gives Memphis coach Josh Pastner his 100th career win as a head coach, all with the Tigers.
Joe Jackson and Chris Crawford both led Memphis with 19 points a piece. Crawford added four rebounds, three assists, and three steals to his impressive scoring effort while Jackson added seven assists and two steals.
Memphis currently holds a perfect 14-0 record in conference play with Saturday's win. The Tigers' lone loss of the calendar year came at the hands of Xavier on Tuesday. Xavier defeated Memphis 64-62 in the non-conference matchup.
Memphis previously held an 18-game winning streak which began on December 20th with a win over Lipscomb. The Tigers will finish their regular season schedule with a March 5 matchup at UTEP and a home finale at the FedEx forum against UAB.
