Duke freshmen star and potential top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft Jabari Parker is blasting the NBA's rumored age -limit requirement change as totally out of bounds.
First-year NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is on record in asserting he considers upping the age requirement from 19 to 20 to be among his absolute top priorities.

"I think that's ridiculous because a lot of people can enroll in service for their country, but they don't want to give them an opportunity to provide for themselves and go apply for a job in the NBA, so I think that's kind of ridiculous," Parker told CBSSports.com The 19-year-old Parker later added the decision to stay or go should "depend on the individual."
In his lone season playing under legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski, Parker averaged 19 points and nine rebounds in being named the Wayman Tisdale Award winner as the nation's top freshman player.
Still, Parker now concedes he wasn't ready for the NBA coming out of Simeon Career Academy, where he led his team to four straight state titles. Parker adds he "needed a year of college" and even then struggled mightily with his decision to leave Duke.
