Todd McShay has released his own mock draft reflecting what he would do if he were the head of each team. This isn’t his mock draft of what he believe will happen, but more what he believes should happen. Lets see who is too high or too low by our rankings.

Too High:
11. Tennessee Titans: Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State

Both Mel Kiper and McShay have the Titans taking a corner in the first round and I just do not see that. When the Titans let Alterruan Verner walk they didn’t attempt to fill his shoes via free agency. They were content with the corners they had when they let him leave and nothing has changed. If they do bring a corner in it will be in the middle rounds.

Sports World News NFL Mock Draft 6.0

12. New York Giants: Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia
The Giants pick is the biggest reach of McShay’s “mock”, but I understand the logic. The Giants are in need of an offensive tackle and the big three are all off the board in this scenario. Moses will be gone by the time the Giants select again so they land their guy now. Moses isn't a top 15 pick and with Zack Martin still on the board I can’t endorse this pick at No. 12.

22. Philadelphia Eagles: Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana
Again, I don't hate the pick, but I hate where the pick is taking place. McShay admits that this is a reach for the value, but Latimer’s game translates well to what the Eagles are trying to do. I would have given the Eagles Kelvin Benjamin in this scenario, but if Philadelphia likes Latimer you can’t knock it.

Too Low
30. San Francisco 49ers: Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA

Barr has been plummeting down the board and he lands at No. 30 for McShay’s mock. Barr has the skill set to be a great pass rusher in the NFL, but some think he is too soft to translate his game. Barr was in the top 5 for what seemed like forever and now he finds a home on the cusp of the second round. I don’t think he can get past the Eagles or Chargers.

2nd Round: Dee Ford, OLB/DE, Auburn
Dee Ford has had an incredible pre-draft season with his Senior Bowl performance and his stellar combine. Ford has an incredible amount of upside and can play in both the 4-3 and the 3-4. Someone will fall in love with him enough to warrant a first round selection, but if he does slip into the second a team is getting a huge steal.
