Jeff Jarrett's new promotion Global Force Wrestling is not even a month old, and yet GFW is already making serious backstage waves when it comes to TNA Impact Wrestling. Jeff and Karen Jarrett have begun "The Journey" to recruit new talent for their new company and news has trickled down to existing TNA wrestlers under contract banning them from taking any pictures with Jeff or Karen Jarrett for fear of winding up on Jeff Jarrett's Twitter page, according to reports from The Wrestling Observer.
Jarrett has been posting pictures on Twitter whenever he runs into old friends in the wrestling business as he travels the world to promote Global Force Wrestling, and as news keeps coming out of Jeff and Karen's camp it looks like GFW means business and could be a serious threat to TNA's entire existence, especially with all of the constant rumors that TNA could go out of business if their Spike TV contract isn't renewed.
With all of the cuts TNA has made to top talent over the past year, I would say that Jeff Jarrett's new promotion has a golden opportunity to snag some of those former Impact Wrestling stars and bring them into the Global Force Wrestling fold. Guys like AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Bad Influence and others certainly have no love lost for TNA or Dixie Carter at the moment, so they have every right to join up with GFW if they so choose.
Former TNA wrestler works at Walmart, says he makes more money there than in TNA
Personally, I love seeing more competition in pro wrestling, so I look forward to seeing how this battle between GFW and TNA plays out.
