Two new matches were added to the WWE Extreme Rules 2014 card as the event emanates from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. on May 4.

On Tuesday night's WWE SmackDown tapings that are set to air this Friday night, Triple H opened up the show and ran down The Shield. He said that Evolution is reunited and will be the most dominant faction in the WWE. He then made a match pitting himself, Randy Orton and Batista against The Shield in a six-man tag at Extreme Rules.

It was discovered on Tuesday night's edition of Main Event that Tamina Snuka is the new No. 1 contender for the WWE Divas Championship and will take on Paige at Extreme Rules. Tamina won a battle royal Tuesday night for the right to face Paige at the May event.

Daniel Bryan has been absent from television this week due to being on his honeymoon with Brie Bella, however he is expected to play a big role at Extreme Rules. The latest rumors have indicated that Bryan will battle Kane in a match that will likely have a stipulation and be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Other matches already announced for the show include John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt in a Steel Cage Match and Big E defending the WWE Intercontinental Championship against the winner of the No. 1 contender's tournament that is currently ongoing on WWE television.
