It didn't take long for new Jets GM John Idzik to make a splash in New York. According to an article from the NY Daily News, the Jets were actively shopping their All Pro cornerback during the NFL Scouting Combine this week.

Revis, a four-time pro bowler, is regarded by many as the best cornerback in the NFL and a bright spot on an ailing Jets franchise looking for a turn around. However, the three-time all pro is coming off ACL surgery and is in the final year of his four-year $46 million contract.

Historically, teams use the combine as a way for front offices to meet and lay the foundation for trades to be worked out leading up to the NFL Draft in April. If completed, the Jets will attempt to receive value for Revis, rather than losing him to free agency for nothing in return.

Dealing Revis would give the jets an opportunity to receive highly touted draft picks, a plus for a team desperate to rebuild. However, a superstar of Revis' caliber would be difficult to replace.
