On April 7th, Jeff Jarrett and his wife Karen Jarrett (formerly the wife of Olympic Gold Medalist and current TNA wrestler Kurt Angle) announced the launch of their highly anticipated new wrestling promotion known as Global Force Wrestling.

In the press release, Jeff Jarrett is quoted as saying, "Because of new media, new technology and more 'in-tune' fans than we've ever had, wrestling is poised for another boom like it experienced in the mid-1980s and late 1990s." He then adds, "What we're going to deliver is a multi-platform, innovative brand that will engage fans in ways they've never experienced. It will provide a fresh perspective inside the business that fans have been clamoring for."

The question Karen Jarrett poses in the following YouTube clip is an interesting one as she asks, "Did You Miss Me?"

My response to that would be, "We'll see."

After all, with the launch of the WWE Network giving full, unbridled access to unarguably the world's top professional wrestling promotion and with WWE NXT now available to a wider audience in the U.S., it remains to be seen how many viewers will be looking towards a new venture.

That being said, the Jarretts have certainly made things interesting again when it comes to the battle for second place behind WWE. Other wrestling organizations like TNA Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor better watch their backs, because Jeff Jarrett's new promotion just might be a "Global Force" to be reckoned with.
