Two clubs chasing FA Cup glory will do battle today in a cup match between Hull City and Sheffield United. The semifinal clash scheduled for 11 a.m. ET will be held at KC Stadium in Kingston upon Hull and can be live streamed here.
Though his side are battling to clinch a berth in the FA Cup final, Hull City manager Steve Bruce has greater aspirations. His dream: Managing a club that has Champions League goals, not relegation woes (h/t to the Telegraph). "All I ask is for people to look at my record," Bruce said. "You see Jose Mourinho, who has reached five semi-finals in European Cups. That is remarkable. The clubs I've been at, I'd like to say they're in a better place when I've left than when I inherited them," he added.
"When you take over Hull or Wigan or Birmingham, there's only so much you can achieve. An achievement is to stay in the Premier League, and I do think you get pigeonholed as that kind of manager."
"You do wonder if there is a chance that you might get a crack at a big one to go and try to achieve the other way, to try and win something constantly. I think that's a goal in management that you're looking for."
