Tonight at 9:40 p.m. ET, the Los Angeles Dodgers (6-4) and Arizona Diamondbacks (4-8) take the field to kickoff their three game series live from Chase Field in Arizona. The game can be live streamed here. Los Angeles fans can hear all of the action on Fox Sports 570 while Arizona fans can do the same on KTAR 92.3.
The Dodgers are coming off of splitting a two-game set with the Detroit Tigers and embark on a six-game road trip through Arizona and San Francisco while the Diamondbacks are looking to continue to bounce back from a slow start after beating the Giants in two out of three games and open up a six-game road trip against the Dodgers and then the New York Mets.
Hyun-jin Ryu (1-1, 3.86 ERA) will take the hill for the Dodgers while Brandon McCarthy (0-1, 7.82 ERA) will toe the rubber for the Diamondbacks.
Los Angeles returns to Arizona, the site where the team clinched the National League Central Division crown last season and splashed around in the pool at Chase Field, upsetting a lot of Dimaondbacks players. Perhaps six months is long enoug to cool down.
McCarthy was cruising in his last start against the Colorado Rockies until running into a tough time in the fourth and fifth innings.
"I just kind of lost feel," McCarthy said via MLB.com. "I stopped executing pitches the way I had been. I really don't know what happened. I just sort of lost feel for my sinker and started to really struggle with that command-wise."
Two NL West rivals go at it when the Dodgers and Diamondbacks play at Chase Field tonight.
