Ever since the shocking news that Jim "The Ultimate Warrior" Hellwig passed away Tuesday night, many past and present WWE Superstars have offered their condolences following his untimely passing, and Bret "Hitman" Hart was the latest to offer public condolences.
The Iron Sheik responds to Nancy Grace on Twitter following Owen Hart and Ultimate Warrior comments
The Warrior was 54 when he died following a weekend where he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, made his first appearance at WrestleMania since 1996 and then appeared on Monday Night RAW. The Warrior was leaving an Arizona hotel room with his family on Tuesday evening when he collapsed in the hallway and was taken to a hospital where he eventually died.
Warrior had a polarizing relationship with the WWE and a lot of past Superstars, but he spent the weekend making amends with people he used to have real-life rivalries with, including WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and fellow Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
Hart took to his official Twitter account to share his thoughts on the passing of The Warrior as well of his thought on Jim Hellwig the person in a series of tweets.
"I'm deeply saddened at the sudden passing of Jim Hellwig, The Ultimate Warrior. I wish I'd been kinder to him in the last moments that we had this past weekend at WrestleMania 30. We did cross paths once or twice, but we were all so busy. I never went out of my way to see him, but if I could... I'd tell him he looked good. He looked content and he looked like he'd finally found happiness within his children and his wife. He never ever harmed me nor did we really work with one another... I wish we had. His final ring promo breaks my heart. I've many fond memories of times we shared, only now do they pile up in my head. I'd also tell him that he was right, he never was such a bad guy. My thoughts are with his wife and children. I never thought his time would be so short. I know one thing, I will never forget him. - Bret"
The Warrior was undoubtedly a controversial figure, however his career came full circle when he stepped back into the WWE family this past weekend. Little did everyone know, it would be his final weekend alive.
