Sports World News NFL Mock Draft 5.0 Part One

Sports World News NFL Mock Draft 5.0 Part Two

21. Green Bay Packers: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama
Mosley gets a little bump up the rankings this week due to the Packers need. Mosley was rumored to be falling out of the first round and still could, but if it is between Mosley and Ryan Shanzier for this pick the Alabama project has the edge.

22. Philadelphia Eagles: Dee Ford , DE, Auburn
No first round safeties left for the Eagles to draft and Chip Kelly is too good at teaching offense to take a WR in the first round. Dee Ford will add an area to the pass rush the Eagles lack. Ford burst on the scene with his Senior Bowl performance soloed up by a great combine. He will play well across from Trent Cole.

23. Kansas City Chiefs: David Yankey, G/OT, Stanford
A newcomer to the first round, Yankey has all the versatility the Chiefs will need to be a first round pick. They lost Branden Albert to the Dolphins and Eric Fisher will be moving over to LT so the Chiefs need some offensive line depth and Yankey provides a starter with the option of changing position.

24. Cincinnati Bengals: Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State
The Bengals get one of the better corners and don’t have to settle for one that is still on the board. Dennard will bring a youth rush to the Bengals corner position and if I know the Cincinnati CB group, Dennard will see a lot of playing time.

25. San Diego Chargers: Louis Nix , NT, Notre Dame
San Diego needs a huge body to eat up blocks and take on double teams and look no further than Louis Nix. Nix specializes in just this skill and I have mocked him earlier due to this type of skill set becoming more of an engage red species. The Chargers are another team that will load up on defensive talent.

26. Cleveland Browns (via Colts): Marqise Lee, WR, USC
Browns got the Qb, now it’s time to add to his arsenal. Lee will play across from Josh Gordon and will instantly be better than the likes of Greg Little. The Brown offense is starting to look like a bigger threat by the day and adding Lee to the mix will finish off the remodel until they find out if Bortles is for real.

27. New Orleans Saints: Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri
Ealy slides a little and the Saints jump all over it. Rob Ryan wants more defensive playmakers and was granted his wish with Jairus Byrd. Sean Payton has shown he is content with the offense player he has at his disposal and can get a WR later in such a deep draft. Ealy can rush the passer and take some pressure off the Saints offense.

28. Carolina Panthers: Odell Beckham , WR, LSU
The Panthers got crushed at WR more than anyone at any position in recent memory and the position wasn't great before that. Beckham wakes up after being picked the best receiver in Carolina. He is a DeSean Jackson deep threat and speedster that can also get the hard yards. His skill set fits the Panthers very well.

29. New England Patriots: Ra'Shede Hageman , DT, Minnesota
I really expect the Patriots to trade out of this spot, but the Jaguars and Texans draft so early in the second round they can wait and see what remains on day two. The Patriots instead take Hageman who can move around and play any role they want him to on the defensive line. He can be the eventual replacement for Vince Wilfork and play in a rotation until then.

30. San Francisco 49ers: Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Florida State
Benjamin fills a need in the 49ers that they could still fill in free agency. In that scenario they would go corner, but until they sign a WR they can use the skills of Benjamin who would be the heir to Anquan Boldin.

31. Denver Broncos: Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio State
Shazier is a nice piece to a team loaded with leaders and veterans. He can sit back and play his game while others teach him the ways and he gains expereince. Shazier has the speed to run down these players and deliver a hit in the process. Very good technique and delivers at the point of attack.

32. Seattle Seahawks: Joel Bitonio, UTIL OL, Nevada
The true utility lineman, Bitonio can play all five position on the line. The Seahawks can use a utility guy like that just in case someone goes down midseason. Bitonio will also compete for a starting guard spot, but in his rookie season he can rotate to where the need is.
