High-priced free agent signee Brian McCann will see his first of many Red Sox vs. Yankees battles tonight in the opener of a four-game set at Yankee Stadium. We all know how McCann feels about slow home run trots.

So how long will it take for McCann to get into a physical altercation with David Ortiz?

According to the website TaterTotTracker.com, Ortiz set the record for the slowest trot around the bases after a home run last night against the Texas Rangers' pitcher Neal Cotts. Big Papi took 32.91 seconds to round the bases — nearly 1.5 seconds slower than the previous slowest trot ever (well, at least since TaterTotTracker.com started timing).

To be fair, Ortiz spent some of the time determining if the ball was going to be fair or foul, but either way… something tells me McCann won’t stand for this type of behavior. And the Yankees and Red Sox have had some memorable brawls in the past.

Ortiz has only two home runs in his last 14 games against the Yankees, he's batting .400 (22 for 55) with eight RBIs during that span.

If Ortiz hits one this weekend, can an eye on the Yankees' catcher.
